Sexual health problems among women with oncological diseases – presentation of a research
On December 9, 2021 Tanadgoma conducted a meeting, dedicated to presentation of findings of a qualitative research “Sexual health problems among women with oncological diseases of reproductive system”. The meeting was attended by oncologists, oncopsychologists, sexologists and reproductologists. After presentation of the research findings, experts discussed recommendations elaborated based on them. Besides presenting the research, Tanadgoma expert held a presentation on widespread sexual health problems encountered by women with oncological diseases. Also, a founder of oncopatients’ organization “Winner women’s club” Professor Tina Beruchashvili presented a research “Assessment of stigmatization factor and psychoemotional status among oncopatient women”.
Meeting participants discussed future steps that are needed to be taken for ensuring better response to SRHR needs of oncopatient women during provision of medical or psychological services. The main agreement reached during the meeting was to create a working group of competent specialists – both medical doctors and psychologists – to will work on improving SRHR of women with oncological diseases of reproductive system.
