Scaling up HIV/AIDS Prevention among most-at-risk-populations

Financial support:  The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria – Sustaining and Scaling up the Effective HIV/AIDS Prevention, Treatment and Care in Georgia (GEO-H-NCDC)

Duration: 01.01.2021 – 31.12.2021

Target group: Men who have sex with men, Female sex workers and Transgender persons.

Geographic area of project implementation:  Cities of Georgia: Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Telavi.

 

Project goal: To improve quality and scale of preventive interventions through comprehensive set of preventive interventions aimed at preventing STI/HIV spread among most-at-risk-populations (FSWs, MSM and Transgender persons)

 

Main objectives:

  • Provision of HIV testing/VCT services and HIV self-testing to High Risk Behavior groups (MSM, FSWs, Transgender persons) through outreach and indoor activities;
  • Provision of prevention packages (Risk reduction counseling, condoms, lubricants, booklets) to High Risk Behavior groups (MSM, FSWs, and Transgender persons)
  • Assessing risks and STI symptoms and referring to STI clinics for father screening and treatments on STIs

Provision of TB screening and referring to TB enters.
